5 (Five) Video Editors you can use to make subtitle instantly

Here we present a list of the best five video editors that can be used to create captions or subtitles very easily. In this article, we do not review the capabilities of the video editor, but we do on how to create Caption or Subtitle using these video editors. So what video editors are they?

1. Cyberlink PowerDirector!

Cyberlink PowerDirector is one of the best video editing programs, useful for editing and creating truly exceptional videos and it is suitable for both beginners and experts.

You can add transitions, insert titles, apply filters and video effects, making video editing very quick and easy. It has three modes available for use:  the Full Feature Editor, offers you a series of professional video editing tools for creating Hollywood-style videos; the Auto Mode, useful for intermediate editors who with the wizard Magic Movie, can have great results, and finally the Express Projects mode, which is more intuitive and really recommended for beginners who want to gain more video editing skills.

2. Corel Video Studio Ultimate X8!

Corel VideoStudio Pro Ultimate X8 is targeted as a fast and easy consumer-grade video editor, priced at only $79.99, but this is not dumbed-down editing — VideoStudio supports 64-bit editing in a traditional timeline with HD to 4K resolution, Dolby 5.1 audio, 50-some editing tracks, keyframed effects and file, mobile and web output. Instead, the simplification in VideoStudio comes from a design based on built-in presets with simple controls to avoid the complication and confusion of a plethora of overwhelming options.

3. Camtasia 2020!

Camtasia is a long-established and widely-used screen-casting program, available for both Windows and Mac. It lets you record direct from your computer so it’s ideal for making software demos, tutorials and walkthroughs. Here I look at the newly released update, Camtasia 2020, which I tested on Windows 10.

Camtasia is a great tool for making screencasts. It lets you record from the whole screen, from a selected window or from a marked rectangular area. Optionally you can make a simultaneous recording from your webcam and there are even tool to add annotations – boxes, circles or free-form drawings – while you are recording. When you stop recording, your new video clip is added to the Camtasia editor.

In the editor you can arrange multiple clips on a stack of tracks. Clips can be cut, moved, slowed down or sped up. Adjacent clips can be smoothly joined using transitions to fade one into the next or create dissolves and folding effects. You can zoom in or out, add annotations and callouts (text and speech bubbles), and apply various types of animation.

You can do basic audio editing to change the volume and remove background noise. And, if you recorded your webcam video in front of a coloured backdrop (usually a green screen) you can remove the background colour so you appear ‘in the scene’ that you recorded from the computer screen.

4. Easy Video Maker!

Easy Video Maker is a free software for editing and producing multimedia content without costing you a cent. The app is quite comprehensive and will require knowledge about editing before you can use it properly. Amongst all the features, you’ll find that the application can record it’s own screen and has a detailed interface.

EVM is a top choice editing software for experienced users as it offers a large variety of tools and features that will confuse most novices starting their journey. However, the application is usable by all skill levels once you are accustomed to its cluttered interface.

The application works on a 64-bit processing system and can support multi-core CPUs and hardware acceleration. You will notice the app struggle on older systems when attempting to edit a batch of videos simultaneously.

5. VideoPad Video Editor!

VideoPad is an easy to use, non-linear video editing application that, despite being slightly lacking in the advanced tools offered by its competitors, makes up for it by being quick and easy to use, as well as offering a useful iPad version. Free for non-commercial use, and reasonably priced if you do need to pay for it, it’s also one of the few editors to support 360-degree footage. This is why it earns a spot on our guide to the best video editing software.

While the Home edition offers only two audio tracks and doesn’t accept plug-ins, upgrading to the Master’s edition removes the track limitation and opens up the plug-in extensibility. You can pay once for a lifetime license, or subscribe on a monthly basis.

Once you’ve settled on a version, you can install it to discover a familiar timeline-based video editing app. There’s a preview window at the top right, your media bin is at the top left, and the timeline takes up the whole width of the interface, along the bottom. So far, so similar to other apps.

Those are list of five video editors we can use to make captions or subtitles easily. Apart from these five, there are still other video editors we can use to create subtitles, namely Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro for Mac. Unfortunately Premiere Pro requires high computer specs so it is not included in this article.
