Create Bokeh effect on Photos or Videos using Open Camera on Smartphone!

In this article, we will review the techniques on how to make a Bokeh effect on photos or videos using Open Camera application on a Smartphone! So, how do you do it? Here's the tutorial!

THE UNDERSTANDING OF BOKEH

According to wixipedia, the word of "Bokeh" comes from the Japanese word 'Boke' which means blur. So, Bokeh can be defined as a photographic aesthetic quality that results from parts that are out of focus or blur. The term Bokeh is usually used by photographers to separate the point of interest between the background and foreground of a photo or video.

Speaking of cameras, it turns out that almost all smartphones today already have cameras and every camera must have a lens. Don't think that the camera lens only exists on a DSLR camera or a camera that is big and long as you can see. The camera on our smartphone turns out to have a lens!

Smartphone cameras today cannot be underestimated, you know! Many smartphone cameras have the same capabilities and quality as and may exceed the capabilities of ordinary cameras. Call it the VIVO V11 Smartphone that we use today, a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 25-megapixel front camera are planted, which can create shots like a DSLR camera. Especially if you use a third-party camera application with more complete features such as AfterFocus, ProShot and Open Camera which can be downloaded for free on the Playstore. For practical material in this video, we use the Open Camera application.

Look at this photo.

We took this photo using the Vivo 1806 or Vivo V11 smartphone, with a size of 12 megapixels and an F / 2.0 lens opening using the Open Camera application.

How do you know if this photo has a lens aperture or F-Stop = F / 2.0? Try taking a photo with your smartphone, then copying the photo to your laptop or PC, then right-clicking on the photo then selecting properties.

All information about the photo will appear, select the details tab then scroll down. In the Camera section, you will find detailed information about your smartphone camera, starting from the camera maker, camera model, to how many F-Stops.
